Some good news! Normally a notorious blackspot every w/e,but looking great today @DubCityCouncil -> Blessington St, D7. Oct 19 2014

With thanks to PC, who says “Please put photos these on the blog. You won’t believe your eyes when you see them and neither will anyone else. These were taken this afternoon on Upper Blessington Street on my way to the community garden and I stopped to look around wondering what it was that was different. Well you can see; Blessington Street is spotlessly clean and looks fantastic. This [first pic] is outside No 27/28, a notorious dumping spot and on most occasions it would look like someone had vomited bags of rubbish onto the street. Damn I’ve suddenly seen one small bag of rubbish outside No 44, otherwise the street is completely clean. Up towards the park gates on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon and not a bag in site! [Another photo] looks down towards Berkeley Road. CLEAN, SPOTLESS! And this final pic is right by the park gate on the right hand side, another notorious dumping spot. FANTASTIC. What a beautiful street “
